I keep dreaming of beer.....

It's so weird but I've been dreaming of beer. Now before I was pregnant, I like beer and probably had a few a week. Since I've been pregnant it sounds and smells pretty disgusting. I would probably gag if I had to take a sip. Plus, I obviously won't be drinking alcohol since I'm pregnant.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream that I slammed a can of Labatt Blue Light. Not just drank it---chugged the whole thing in seconds. Then after that I remembered I was pregnant and felt incredibly guilty. Just last night I had another dream was drinking beer. Weird!!

Yeah...baby stuff!!

Earlier this week I went out to dinner with my best friend Ann. There are many reasons why she's great but to agree to go to National Coney Island for a hani---wow!! And she bought my hani. Ann got the baby the cutest little outfit (see the pic). It's so cute and soft. I love baby clothes!!!

I'm boring...

Not too much new and exciting here. Felt a little sick today but I think I waited too long to eat. I'm having a german pancake for dinner--puffy pancakes is what my mom used to call it when I was a kid.

I'm having dinner with my oldest friend Ann tomorrow. (Oldest as in known the longest, not age.) She said I could pick the place so National Coney Island it is. Hani and fries---classy!

I found these cartoons on someone elses bio--enjoy!

Another Monday.....

I hate Mondays....no sleeping in, back to work. Anyway, on the bright side I am still feeling pretty good. I went for a 6 mile walk with my mom yesterday. I'm kind of sore but glad I finally got some exercise.

I had some really good cherries that I got at the Farmer's Market but I ate them all. Mmmm...

First Baby Gift!

I'm so excited that my friend Carolyn got us our first baby gift. She got us the cutest bibs (see pictures). Don't worry they have to be washed anyway! She also got me some great baby books to read about my newfound condition. Plus, I'm sure she'll have lots of great advice since she has a one year old---Audrey, who is soooo cute. Audrey definitely made me want to start trying for a baby awhile ago along with Hailey, our adorable niece. These cute, well behaved children are probably just a trick and we'll get a monster.

I haven't had the best eating habits so far. I swear I used to eat pretty healthy, you know fruits and vegetables. This baby is definitely taking after Jamisen with the cravings I've had. I've already explained the hani obsession. I've also eaten quite a few cans of pringles. For some reason today I had to have cheddar cheese popcorn. Not that sissy white cheddar popcorn, the orange, stain your fingers kind. Jamisen was nice enough to go get me some. He's the best!

Still Feeling Pretty Good!

Maybe the morning sickness really is gone (fingers crossed.) Although I still can't stand the smell of meat, the dry heaving seems to be over. I've actually been able to walk around instead of laying on the couch as soon as I get home from work.

So pretty much all of our family and friends know about the baby now. I haven't told the people at work yet and I'm hoping to keep that a secret for a few more weeks. For now, I can still button my pants and while I may be looking a little chubbier than usual I doubt the guys will notice. Soon it will be sweater weather so I may be able to keep this secret for a while.

I ordered a maternity bathing suit online from Target. I know it's early to resort to maternity wear but we're going to Mexico in August and I'll be about 16 weeks. I wanted to buy something while the summer stuff was on sale. It was pretty cheap and hopefully it's fairly cute. I'm not sure if I can sport my regular bikini with my stomach sticking out. Who knows? If there are a lot of Europeans topless and in Speedos then maybe......

Feeling Pretty Good!

Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself but I felt pretty good today. I hope it lasts. I actually ate fairly regular food today. Jamisen thinks the baby is going to be part hani. For those of you that don't live near a National Coney Island, a hani is cut up chicken fingers, cheese, lettuce, and tomato wrapped in pita. It's so delicious and the only meat I can stomach right now.

Maybe the morning sickness is over!!!

Pictures!

Waiting for Baby Beevers

Today is the beginning of my blog. As of tomorrow, I will be 9 weeks pregnant. For the past 3 weeks I have been feeling pretty nauseous and tired. I'm hoping that will go away in a few more weeks. So lately I have pretty much just been laying on the couch as much as possible when I'm not at work. My food choices are pretty limited right now: grilled cheese, pringles, cheerios, and noodles. The smell and sight of meat are absolutely disgusting. This is pretty rough on Jamisen since meat is his favorite. He can eat it, just not where I can smell it.

This week I had my third doctor's appointment which was pretty uneventful. The Dr. just asked me a lot of family history questions and whether we wanted genetic testing. We decided to skip the genetic testing.

I've been feeling pretty bloated so I took my first belly pic today at (well we'll just call it 9 weeks). Jamisen has been very sympathatic so I took a belly pic of him too.

Not too much activity yet but I'll keep posting!
