Kate talking!

This is a video of Kate "talking" to her friends. She loves the mobile above her swing and she smiles and talks to it.

She's growing so fast! I just wish she would start sleeping more at night. She had 2 4 or 5 hour stretches at night last week but that as it. Lately she's been up every 2-3 hours.

Kate is getting bigger every day. She's sleeping a little more at night. A few night ago she slept for 5 hours in a row! Since she normally wakes up every 2-3 hours that was huge! Below is a video of Kate in her swing.

I'm 1 month old today!

Today is Kate's 1 month birthday. In honor of her special day, we had a quick photo shoot. She wasn't very excited about posing, as you can see by the end of the shoot she fell asleep. It's hard to believe that she's already 4 weeks old.

She had her 1 month check up at the pediatrician today. She now weighs 11 lbs and is 22

3/4 in long. She's in the 90% percentile for weight and the 95% percentile for height. I guess it's no surprise she's already grown out of her 0-3 months clothes. She's focusing more on things and when we talk to her.

3.5 weeks old

Kate is growing up so fast, I can't believe she'll be a month old in a few days. She had her first real outing this weekend for her Uncle Ben's birthday. It was her first time out to a restaurant. She was pretty good but it's amazing how much stuff I have to pack to leave the house for a few hours. We were gone for a little over 4 hours and she ate twice and had 2 diaper changes. Hopefully it will get easier as she gets a little older and doesn't eat quite so often.

Once the weather warms up we'll be getting out more often. I'm looking forward to taking her for more walks in the park, plus I need the exercise.

My first real bath!

Kate finally lost her ambilical cord stump so she can now have a real bath instead of a sponge bath. She seemed to enjoy it. She's getting bigger and is starting to notice more things. She smiles but not at anything in particular. Hopefully in the next few weeks she'll be more interactive. She still likes to party at night and sleep all day but hopefully that will change soon. She usually goes to "bed" at 11 pm and is up at 1:30 or 2:00. Then she's up again around 4 and up again at 6. Luckily I don't have any issues falling asleep and I try to nap on the couch when I can.

Kate has moves!

Well, Kate absolutely loves her swing but hasn't really been interested in the mobile or the music yet. Today we turned it on for her and she was really looking at the mobile and seemed to enjoy the music. Below is a video of her dancing. It may be a concidence but immediately following her performance she had a really full diaper.....

Kate is a fashion queen!

I think Kate now has more clothes than I do. She definitely has more clothes that fit. Here are some pictures of Kate modeling some of her latest outfits. Ann got her the adorable brown pjs with pink polka dots. Aunt Angie, Uncle Brian, and Hailey got her the pink outfit with hearts and frogs.

Kate loves all her new outfits unfortunately she also loves to poop her diapers which sometimes gets on her clothes. I think she just does this so she can wear another outfit---she loves fashion. Today she's already on her 2nd outfit.
