Photo shoot

Today we finally had our photo shoot. It was the 3rd time we had rescheduled due to rain since we were taking the pictures outside. I can't wait to see the pictures, I hope they turned out good. Kate really wasn't very smiley, she ws just interested in watching everything going on.

My new baby pool...

Kate really likes her baby pool. She went in it for the first time today. We also brought her duck bath toys which she loves. For some reason, Jamisen was really getting her to crack up squirting her with her duck.

Bad hair day...

This weekend Kate got invited to a bbq that was all babies and parents. She loves other babies but she was the only mobile one so I had to keep her from poking anyone in the eye. The youngest baby, Samantha, was 4 weeks and Kate was the oldest at 4 months. As you can see in the picture she was showing off by touching her toes.

Today Kate had a pretty busy day. She had a big poop in the morning and then had to get a bath. Then she practiced her leg stretches in preparation for crawling. She didn't really want to be photographed because she's having a really bad hair day.

Hopefully tomorrow we will finally get our family pictures. It's the 3rd date we've scheduled since they're supposed to be outside. It is of course supposed to rain.....

I like carrots and peas!

Kate has been eating rice cereal and baby food. So far she's tried sweet potatoes, bananas, carrots, and peas. As you can see, she really enjoys it. She like to particpate and try to feed herself with the spoon and rub the food in her hair.

Kate was a little overwhelmed by her exersaucer at first but now she loves it! Her favorite is the yellow flower which she drools on.....a lot. She also enjoys the spinning rattle. She still loves her play mat and she's starting to pull herself up on her knees and rock back and forth. I think she'll be crawling soon. I can't believe she's almost 5 months already!

Kate on vacation

Kate got to visit Jamisen's grandparents over the 4th of July holiday. She also got to see Jamisen's other Grandma before she left. Grandma Dorothy lives in Florida so it was the first time she got to see Kate. Kate has 3 great grandmas and 2 great grandpas and now she has met them all. Kate was very good on the long drive to see Grandma Betty and Grandpa Jon. They are also in Florida during the winter so this was the first time they got to meet Kate.
