Kate made a new friend

This is the fake dog at Old Navy. Kate really liked him and I figured why not let her pet him, it's not like he's going to bite her. Then she tried to ride him so we had to leave.

Rough day but at least I got ice cream

Kate had a rough day because she had to get blood drawn to get tested for lead. Apparently they do that now because of all the toys that are made in China. Jamisen took her and had to hold her down. After that she had to go to her check up and I met them there. She is 23 lbs 10 oz and 32 in. She hasn't gained much weight in the last few months but she's an inch taller than her 12 month check up. She also had to get 3 shots which she did not like. Since she had such a tough day, after her nap we took her outside to play with her water table, side walk chalk, and sandbox. Then later we took her for ice cream and let her have her own cone. She fell asleep on my lap at 7:00 pm.

Summer's almost here and went to the zoo!

Kate is so excited that the weather is getting warmer. She loves being outside and is really into her sidewalk chalk. She would probably stay outside all day if we let her.

Today we went to the zoo and Kate enjoyed seeing the animals. The turtles, peacocks, and meerkats were her favorite. Kate's a big girl so now she wants to walk instead of being in her stroller which is not the best for the zoo.

Kate has been busy learning new skills. She is starting to use a fork or spoon when she eats. She loves to go outside and play in her sandbox. She is very active now and keeps us pretty busy chasing her around.

I love Krispy Kreme!

Kate had a busy day. Jamisen took her grocery shopping and she really likes to hold something so we usually give her a box of noodles or something. When the bagger was packing the groceries Kate spotted the Krispy Kreme box and wanted to hold it. The women gave it to her and she was so happy to hold it. It was pouring when they left the grocery store so Jamisen wanted to get her in the car fast. She didn't want to give up the Krispy Kremes so he let her hold it. Jamisen got a whiff of doughnuts, stopped at a light and took these pics! She's a sneaky baby...
