Kate loves dessert

Dinner is always a battle with Kate. She is usually opposed to eating almost anything that is not a cookie or candy. So this video is Kate negotiating on how she can get dessert without eating her dinner. I'm pretty sure it's not good parenting to bribe your kids to eat their dinner but Kate will do anything for dessert sooooo.....

Claire is getting big !

Claire is growing bigger every day. She is noticing more going on around her. She really likes this lamb toy she got from my mom's friend Eve. She also likes her animal toys on her bouncer now and "talks" to them. I finally got the double stroller that I've been trying to order so now if I feel brave I could take both girls somewhere. As you can see Kate is really excited about the new stroller.

Kate will be starting preschool in a few weeks. Originally we were going to wait until fall but she desperately wants to go to school. Also, I think Jamisen will need the break once I go back to work. It's a lot of work to have both girls by yourself. Someone always need a nose wipe, diaper change, is hungry, puking, etc. We found a school we really like and they will work with her on potty training which hopefully will help her improve.

New clothes!

Kate has been able to wear some of the summer clothes she got for her birthday since it's been so warm. I'm glad she got some since I haven't really bought her much yet. I didn't expect it to be 80 degrees in March. She is having a great time being outside and going to the park. She loves this dress that Aunt Denise got her and she picked out a skirt and shirt outfit that Aunt Gail got her ( I need to get that pic.) Claire is still very calm and happy. She just hangs out in the stroller or with me holding her at the park. Her main demand is to be held and cuddled. She's becoming much more alert and smiling more.

Kate's hair cut

Kate really needed a hair cut since she hates it when I brush her hair and there are tangles. Jamisen just doesn't brush the tangles which makes it worse. Kate is going to be a flower girl in my cousin Angela's wedding this summer so I wanted to get her hair cleaned up and healthy for that too. She did really well at the hair salon and got a sucker for being such a good girl. I just can't believe how grown up she looks with her hair cut. She's 3 years old going on 16!

Claire is such a happy baby. She's starting to smile more and be more alert. I'm so excited that she has finally started sleeping in her crib. She sleeps about 3 hrs at a time at night which is a huge improvement.

Claire is 2 months old!

Claire is growing so fast and she just had her 2 month check up. She is now 10 lbs 5 oz. She's still in the 50th percentile for weight and height. She has a little head and is in the 25th percentile. She's doing great and had 5 shots at her check up but only cried a little.

Kate also had her 3 year check up. She did very well and didn't even cry when her finger was pricked. She was a very big girl at the doctor's office.
