Kate loves to help me bake. Today we made chocolate zucchini muffins which are pretty healthy but they're really good. Kate loves them and I eat them too. Jamisen refuses to try them since he thinks muffins shouldn't contain vegetables. Here's a picture of Kate mixing the muffins.

Just another day

Kate loves to dress up and she believes you can never accessorize too much. So the other day she had on her crown, sunglasses, necklaces and high heels. Oh, and she refused to wear any pants. Claire is getting big and she just likes to hang out with everyone else. She's starting to "talk" more and make sounds.

Missed my girls

I had to go out of town this week for work and it was my first time being away from Claire. I missed both girls but Jamisen did a good job with them and the house was pretty clean when I got home. And he did a load of laundry. Claire is sleeping peacefully now so hopefully she won't be up all night. Kate got a huge puzzle from her great grandma for Easter and she loves it. We've put it together a million times and she's getting better at it. Kate has been in preschool for two weeks and she really likes it. She's going 2 half days a week but we might send her for a 3rd day since she likes it so much.

Spring!

Kate and Claire are both excited that it is spring. Claire is getting bigger every day and loves to watch her big sister. Kate is very anxious to play outside. Claire slept for 6 hours straight this weekend so hopefully she is on her way to sleeping longer at night. My first week back at work went fairly well. It's definitely tough not getting a lot of sleep and working but it went ok. The girls are pretty non stop when I get home, someone always needs a diaper change, feeding, or something.

Ha ha, tricked Kate into eating healthy....

Kate loves to help me bake and of course like all kids she loves cookies and muffins. I always try to make them pretty healthy since it's something she'll actually eat. I don't want her eating sugar all day. Today I was trying to convince her that we should bake zucchini muffins but she did think that sounded good. So I asked her if she wanted to make chocolate muffins which she thought was a great idea. After we mixed the batter I thought I was pretty tricky when I distracted her with a few chocolate chips and snuck in the shredded zucchini. Once the muffins came out of the oven, she couldn't wait to eat them. As soon as she took a bite she said that she saw zucchini so I just pretended that I didn't know how it got in there. She seemed fine with it and ate 2 muffins. They are really delicious muffins and pretty healthy. Outsmarted by a 3 year old again...
