Kate is 1 week old!

Kate is one week old today but it's hard to imagine not having her around. She's so much fun and such a good baby. I tried to get some good one week old pictures but she wasn't in the mood for posing. I posted the best one.

Today Kate had her grandma, great grandma, great grandpa, and uncle Ben here to visit. I posted a pic of great grandma and Uncle Ben holding her. No, Uncle Ben is not breast feeding. She loves visitors and is now exhausted from entertaining. She's taking a long nap but we'll have to wake her soon so she sleeps a little tonight.

Kate is adjusting well to her new home. She loves to eat and poop. She's a very sweet baby and loves to be held and talked to. She's had a lot of visitors and has received so many wonderful presents. Right now she is napping in her favorite place, her swing from Aunt Gail. Here's some pictures....

Expecting No More!

February 18th 2009 at 9:15PM we were welcomed by Kate Elizabeth Beevers. She was a very small baby at 9lb 9oz. Her and the mom are doing well and getting some much needed rest.

Still pregnant.....

Well, my due date has come and gone. I feel so cheated since the whole time I've been counting down to that date. Now I'm just sitting at home and waiting for this baby to get here. I had a dr's appt yesterday and an ultrasound. The baby is doing great, moving around and breathing. The lungs look good and there's plenty of aminiotic fluid.

After a not so gentle exam, the dr said I'm pretty much where I was last week. So she gave me the option to induce on Monday (1 week past my due date) or wait until the end of next week. I'm going to schedule the induction for Monday but hoping that the baby comes on its own before then.

Still pregnant....

So the baby is not here yet. But just because I don't answer the phone doesn't mean I'm in labor. I could also be in the bathroom, sleeping, or just not hear it ring. Trust me we will call people when the baby is born.

Friday was my last day of work so now I'm just officially waiting. Hopefully the baby decides to come out soon. Jamisen has a cold right now so today might not be the best day but soon.

So hopefully this is my last belly picture since I am due on Monday in 6 days. I hope this baby decides to come by then. I'm feeling fairly good although I'm uncomfortable. My back hurts and my hands and feet are pretty swollen. I was hoping the full moon on Monday would send me into labor but nothing yet.

The doctor says that I'm "favorable" which is probably what they tell everyone so they don't think they'll be pregnant forever. My dr. will let me go 1.5 weeks past my due date if the baby doesn't come out by then.

Hopefully the next pictures will be of our new baby! We can't wait to meet him or her. And everyone will finally get to know the secret baby names that we've been keeping.

38 weeks....

Well in less than 2 weeks (hopefully) we'll finally get to meet the baby and find out if it's a boy or a girl. As you can see by the latest pic, I'm getting pretty big. My maternity clothes are starting not to fit that well but I refuse to buy more. All this weight is pretty hard on my back and I've had some swelling in my hands and

feet. These last few weeks are kind of tough but I'm sure it will all be worth it.

The nursery is pretty much finished. I've posted some pictures to show the progress. My brother installed the closet organizer for us which is so nice for storage. He also hung up the pictures and shelves for us. Jamisen assembled the baby swing so it will be all ready for the baby. It's so cute, I love the little lamb ears.

So I think we're pretty ready for the baby to be here. Hopefully it's not much longer!
